Wes Wesley – Co-Founder, Caribbean Athletic & Education Cooperative (CAEC) Founder, Northwest Puerto Rico Football Alliance

Wes Wesley is a visionary sports entrepreneur, engineer, and community builder dedicated to expanding opportunities for young people across Puerto Rico’s west coast and beyond. As the Co-Founder of the Caribbean Athletic & Education Cooperative (CAEC) and the Founder of the Northwest Puerto Rico Football Alliance, Wes brings decades of experience in athletic program development, military service, engineering leadership, and youth mentorship. His work is grounded in the belief that sports and education together can transform lives—especially for underserved youth. Wes began his journey as a collegiate athlete, spending three years on the practice squad while earning an engineering degree and graduating in the top third of his class. Through his athletic journey, he also had the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level, serving as a third assistant coach under one of the nation’s most prestigious and respected head coaches. That experience strengthened his understanding of player development, team culture, and the commitment required to help student-athletes thrive on and off the field. His discipline and resilience carried him into the United States Navy, where he served with distinction before being honorably discharged. Following his service, Wes built a successful civilian engineering career, ultimately retiring as a Senior Project Manager known for leading complex, high-impact projects. Driven by his passion to serve young people, Wes founded the Northwest Puerto Rico Football Alliance, a growing youth football league serving players ages 8–18, many from under-resourced communities. Through this program, he has created safe, structured, and inspiring spaces for young athletes to build confidence, leadership, discipline, and academic responsibility. As a leader within CAEC,

Wes oversees strategic operations for key initiatives such as the HBCU Puerto Rico Bowl, youth athletic development programs, literacy initiatives, and community events aimed at uplifting families across the island. He plays a central role in building partnerships with municipalities, schools, grassroots organizations, and national brands, solidifying CAEC as a driving force for regional educational and athletic access.

Wes is also a key architect of CAEC’s Future Visions projects, including the development of a new community football field, expanded year-round youth programming, and the launch of the innovative Harvest STEM School—an early-college STEM model designed to create equitable academic pathways for underserved students. Known for his integrity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service, Wes Wesley continues to inspire and empower the next generation of athletes, scholars, and community leaders across Puerto Rico.
